Andrian Gutu works at UMAEF as an Investment Associate since October 2025.
Andrian supports the SME Direct Investments Program, a key initiative aimed at driving the growth and resilience of SMEs in Ukraine and Moldova. He is based in Chișinău, Moldova.
Andrian brings a solid professional background in financial due diligence, investment analysis, and post-investment support across both public and private sectors. Most recently, he led post-investment activities at Invest Moldova Agency, where he worked closely with international investors, navigating regulatory frameworks and supporting expansion projects across infrastructure, energy, IT, and other strategic sectors.
Previously, Andrian worked at CPP Investments, where he monitored a global investment portfolio across private equity, infrastructure, and credit. He contributed to investment decisions by preparing detailed financial models, conducting market research, and presenting findings to senior stakeholders. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Advisor at KPMG Luxembourg, leading financial due diligence on cross-border M&A transactions across multiple sectors and jurisdictions. In addition to his corporate experience, Andrian co-founded and successfully scaled FLORII, a women’s clothing brand operating in Moldova and Turkey, gaining valuable entrepreneurial and business development insights.
Andrian holds a Bachelor of Management with Honors in Finance from the University of British Columbia, where he also pursued a minor in Economics.
