In 2006, UMAEF sponsored the creation and launch of Horizon Capital (HC), with a $25m commitment to its $132m debut fund. Today, HC is the leading private equity firm in Emerging Europe with $1.6bn in assets under management from 40+ investors with an over $700bn capital base, and raised more than $900m in growth capital to back visionary entrepreneurs from Ukraine and Moldova in 6 years. UMAEF has backed three HC-managed funds, committing $65m which mobilized $682m, an over 10x multiplier effect

UMAEF is a Delaware non-profit corporation governed by an independent Board of Directors comprised of leading representatives of the U.S. business community. UMAEF was established by the U.S. Congress in 1994 and funded by the U.S. government via USAID at that time.

Ukrainian Leadership Academy
The Ukrainian Leadership Academy is a 10-month program of personal and collective development for secondary school graduates built on combination of physical, psychological, and intellectual development and based on the values. The aim of the Academy is to unite young people with high potential for leadership, and provide them with the best training and world practices, help them to discover a deep understanding of national identity, reveal their true talent, and encourage them to become agents of change for the benefit of our country. The Academy was founded in 2015 with support of Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund. The project is supported by the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, the Parliament Committee on Education and Science, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Diia.City provides a unique tax and legal space for IT business making it easier and less expensive to manage and operate your business. WNISEF provided support for the Diia City project office, PR and communication activities, staff and office rent expenses for the team of the project.
