Andrii Sorokhan

Andrii is a Venture Director of an early-stage investment arm u.ventures (http://u.ventures) and covers early-stage investments in technology startups from education technology (EdTech) and the future of work to AI and consumer tech.

Andrii joined the UMAEF team in November 2015, bringing his entrepreneurial and management consulting experience where he worked on projects in Tech, Financial and Public sectors. He received MA in Applied Economics from Kyiv School of Economics and holds an honors BA degree in Economic and Mathematical Modelling. Andrii started learning about technologies and programming as a teenager and created his first web applications while still at the university. In 2014 Andrii received an award from Canadian National Magazine for the best online video, “Ukraine in Crisis.”

Andrii has lived around the world, from Washington D.C. and San Francisco to Ottawa and Tallin, and in his free time, enjoys cycling and kayaking.
