Roman Tychkivskyy
Roman is the Strategic Initiatives Director under which the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund implements key strategic projects for Ukraine and Moldova. Roman also leads UMAEF’s Veteran Support Program, which implements initiatives necessary to assist Ukraine’s society with the needs of its veterans, their next of kin, and families of fallen, missing, and held in-captivity heroes.
Since the full-scale invasion of Russia was fledged, Roman volunteered to join the Marine Force of Ukraine. First, as part of the anti-UAV unit in the East of Ukraine, later was given the responsibility of assisting the Marine Force Commander in international relations. He served until he received injury.
Before that, Roman led the Economic Leadership Program at UMAEF, which included launching and managing initiatives such as the Ukrainian Leadership Academy, SEED Grant, and the Corporate Governance Development Program.
Roman has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Kyiv Mohyla Academy and a master’s in science, economy, and innovation from Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.
He was a co-founder of the Open University of Maidan during the Revolution of Dignity and managed the fundraising for the project. From 2005 to 2008, Roman initiated a series of fundraising projects to help families with children suffering from oncological and neurological diseases. This allowed four children to undergo medical treatment abroad.
Roman worked as Coordinator for the Canada-Ukraine Parliamentary Program, which allows Ukrainian students to study under a three-month internship program in the Parliament of Canada. He was also an assistant to the Member of the Parliament of Canada, Corneliu Chisu. Previously, Roman worked in business consulting for foreign companies in Ukraine regarding tech commercialization and investments.
Roman also has experience as a Project Manager with Holding of Emotions! FEST (Lviv) is a network of conceptual restaurants and projects that promote tourist destinations in Lviv and Ukraine. In this capacity, he was involved in the development of franchising projects and a partnership network in Ukraine and abroad.
