Western NIS Enterprise Fund supported the Technology Nation Kids project in Ukraine

Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) supported Technology Nation Kids program, which provides free programming training for 9-11-year-old children in 5 cities of Ukraine. The Fund will also subsidize the robotics video course.

WNISEF will compensate mentors of children training groups and will put up funds for the resupply of Technology Nation Kids project hubs in 5 cities: Odesa, Mariupol, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson. Within six months a total of 200 students will be trained with the support of Western NIS Enterprise Fund.

In addition to that, the Fund will back the development of the robotics video course. It’ll span the basic principles of robots construction along with their type description, and will tell about 3D robot modeling, microcontrollers, sensors, ready and open-source robotics solutions.

“The next decade will have the IT jobs as the most demanded ones, and the programming skill will be equated with the ability to read or write. Some European countries have already started teaching 6-year-old kids the basics of programming. And in order to be competitive in the international market, children in Ukraine should have the same skills. That is why Western NIS Enterprise Fund supported the Technology Nation Kids project, which will give our children a chance to master technology, develop logical thinking and significantly broaden their horizons“, said Andrii Sorokhan, Economic Leadership Program Coordinator of Western NIS Enterprise Fund.
