Teach First Moldova Completes Leadership Campus, Preparing Future Teacher-Leaders Across Moldova

On July 31, Teach First Moldova completed the first stage of its Leadership Campus, an intensive three-week training program designed to prepare future teacher-leaders to support learning and development in schools and communities across the Republic of Moldova.

The Leadership Campus provided an intensive environment for learning, collaboration, and professional growth, enabling participants to reflect on their values and teaching practices, strengthen their leadership skills, and build a community grounded in responsibility, trust, and mutual support.

“Teachers trained today are the ones who will prepare the next generation of entrepreneurs, engineers, and specialists our economy needs. We support Teach First Moldova because we see this program as an investment with a long-term multiplier effect — especially in communities where talent exists, and where we help create opportunities for it to thrive,” said Stella Jemna, Country Representative for Moldova, UMAEF.

Following the Leadership Campus, participants will begin their two-year teaching commitment in schools across Moldova, where they will apply the skills and knowledge developed during the program. Throughout the two years, they will continue to receive mentorship, training, and support from the Teach First Moldova team.

The program is implemented with the support of the Soros Moldova Foundation, the Ministry of Education and Research, the National Youth Agency, the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF), Teach For All, and Endava.
