UMAEF-Supported Upcelerator Concludes Eighth Edition, Advancing Moldova’s Startup Ecosystem

The eighth edition of Upcelerator, Dreamups’ flagship pre-acceleration program for early-stage startups, officially concluded on June 11, marking another milestone in the development of Moldova’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Supported by Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF), the program equips aspiring founders with the knowledge, mentorship, and practical experience needed to transform innovative ideas into viable businesses.

Over the course of three months, participating teams worked intensively to validate their business ideas, develop minimum viable products (MVPs), and prepare their ventures for market entry. Of the 55 startups that joined the accelerator, 31 teams advanced to the final evaluation stage, while nine startups were selected to present their solutions during Demo Day.

The top award was presented to Allot, whose AI-powered application helps users better manage short-form video consumption and build healthier digital habits. The team received a $3,000 equity-free grant funded by UMAEF to support the continued development of its solution.

Through its partnership with Dreamups, UMAEF continues to invest in the next generation of entrepreneurs by supporting programs that foster innovation, strengthen startup capabilities, and expand opportunities for high-potential founders. Initiatives such as Upcelerator play an important role in building a stronger pipeline of investment-ready startups and reinforcing Moldova’s growing innovation ecosystem.
